Under a joint research project between the National Institute for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (NIBGE), a Chinese research partner, and the Higher Education Commission (HEC), sexed embryos were successfully produced and transferred from a 16-year-old high-yielding Sahiwal cow, achieving a 43% pregnancy rate in the initial phase of the research.
